The incredible Valentino dress was executed custom-made around 1969 for a bride by Indira Antwerp who was a multi-brand store selling Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and many more high-end labels. It was a custom in those days to have special pieces made for occasions or events with the designer's permission using their fabrics and patterns.

I've seen pictures of this incredible bride wearing the dress, she covered her hair with the top layer kaftan/dress to start her journey. The top layer kaftan/dress is attached to the under layer dress, the bride removed the kaftan further/later in the evening using this as a scarf and sometimes holding the kaftan as a long train.
