Dries van Noten 1990s Layered Dresses Archive Collector’s Piece

Dries van Noten 1990s Layered Dresses Archive Collector’s Piece
I'm not exactly sure which runway collection this dress is from, but I would estimate Fall Winter 1998–1999, as the layered look was a strong trend during that time. This is undoubtedly an archival collector’s piece.
While it may have originally been styled on the runway with a darker slip underneath and a coat on top, this particular piece was purchased at the Dries Van Noten boutique with the pink slip included. That detail adds to its timeless versatility perfect for both winter layering and breezy summer wear.
This set includes two separate but complementary pieces:
A bias-cut underdress in soft viscose, beautifully “Bias Cut” draped, easy to wear on its own, and a perfect minimalist slip.
A sheer mesh overdress with an all-over floral print, lightweight, romantic, and versatile enough to style solo or layer over other pieces.
Wear them together for that quintessential ‘90s layered look, or separately to mix into your wardrobe. A stunning piece for collectors and vintage lovers, and a true example of Van Noten’s innovative work during one of his most influential periods.
Sized 40, but to fit different body types.
